Bangkok HauntsI borrowed this book from my boss's office. "Bangkok Haunts" (2007) written by John Burdett is a who-dun-it mystery that is most definitely like none I've ever read. Basically a prostitute has been murdered, and we follow the police detective on the case in Bangkok. I have been to that city, so that helped me enjoy this book more. I'm glad I didn't read this book before I went 'cause it's a little scary to think about how lawless the country of Thailand can be. Of course it's just a book, but I was there, and it's clear that the cultural difference between here and there is huge. I did enjoy the book. It's nice that I've been able to find some time to read.

No, the house still isn't ready and I'm still not moved. No, I do not want to make any more decisions on paint colors and floor patterns. No, the cat never did show back up, and neither did a body or any answers, but I'm pretty much over it now. The other cat is a little lonely, though. No, I don't have any Super Bowl plans. No, I don't have a date for Valentine's Day. No, I don't have anything else to say. Why, yes, I would like to take a nap now. Thanks for asking.

Yes...was I supposed to wake up? I got a new mailbox today! Too bad it'll only ever have bills in it.
