I finally finished The Oxford Dictionary of Popes by JND Kelly. It only took me 2 months. Seriously, 2 months on the same book! Let's see...What did I learn...Um...Yeah. I learned that there was some pope that the people were so mad at that the next pope led a mob that dug up his body and tossed it in the river. I thought that one was especially interesting. Honestly, I thought a Catholic author would try to cover up a bit more of the dirt...'Cause there is a LOT of dirt that happened. I know that the teaching on popes is that they are just humans, except when they are teaching about church doctrine and morality. Haven't we learned, though, that the best teaching comes by example? Don't play by the edge...You might fall in. Am I...
