Wow, both of the horses in this picture from October 2004 are dead now. Tobey, the one in front, died a couple of days ago. Stix, the grey one, died a couple years ago. Both horses belonged to Rita, the one riding Stix in the picture. My dad is riding Tobey. I rode Tobey at least once. It was in Roston, I'm pretty sure. I'm not sure why horses have to die. They're so loyal and faithful and true...until they bite you or kick you, I suppose. My horses are all getting older, you know. Right now, Apache is kinda off his feed, and Lucky is lame in his right foreleg. But I think they're healthy enough to make it a few more years.
