Momma says not to park behind other vehicles. But what is one to do when the situation calls for parallel parking? I was parked yesterday by the post office, and a lady came in to let me know that the person who was parked in front of me had backed into my front bumper and had driven away, seemingly without even realizing that he'd hit my car. But she was quick enough to write down the truck's license plate number, and there were a couple other witnesses. So then I got to file my first police incident report. Now I get to wait and see if the justice system works. Kinda exciting, no? The good thing is, to get this fixed will require a new bumper, and I've been needing one for awhile. There are teeth marks all over the old one from an over-zealous dog that I encountered on a paper-serving mission. AND on the even brighter side, I will make the Cooke County News in the police reports section! Sweet.

Ouch! That looks nasty!
They say that "No news is good news," but I guess that isn't always true! What a way to find out that my daughter's car was in a wreck! Well, I guess it wasn't really "in a wreck," but still!! It surely is a great good thing that you are a Private Investigator, isn't it? I bet that fool would not have run if he had known that!! HA! Accidents happen, but when people run away like the cowards they are, instead of taking responsibility, well, it just makes me ANGRY! GRRRRR!! I am SO glad for the lady who thought fast and wrote down the license plate number and then found you to let you know what happened. I'll be looking for your name in the Cooke County News! Heh.
