I didn't get many pictures at the Bowie Rodeo last weekend, but here is one of our trusty steeds. That's Dixie on the left and Ranger on the right. They both did very well, but, then again, it was just too hot to put forth the effort required to be rotten.

We went to see "Brave" last weekend, too. I was not really impressed. I mean...I guess I wasn't expecting the magic and fantasy aspect. I knew the gal would save the day somehow, but I didn't know the situation would be so unbelievable. Maybe I'm just too old.

I'm watering my yard. I never though I'd be a yard-waterer unless the situation REALLY called for it, but I'm trying to turn my dirt into grass. My grandma asked, "Do you want to do more mowing?" Ha. Maybe I do? But mostly I just want less dirt and more grass. And that's happening without a dog in the yard. Again, what was I thinking when I thought a dog was a good idea. People are always posting these sweet things about how dogs love you and are loyal and wonderful...hooey-balooey, says me. Poop, eat, bark. Hmm, in a way, that sorta describes me.

You are also doing your part to prevent another dust bowl.

OOPS, I had to delete that first attempt...Melanie's horse, Dixie, is a pretty thing! It's too bad our Paint, Apache, is lame, or you two girls could have both been on Paints. But Ranger was glad he got to go, I'm sure! And he IS 1/2 Paint, even if he doesn't look it. His tail looks like it's dragging the ground in this picture; is it really that long now??
