The "N" world? Really?

Have the folks bringing up the 110x-used word even watched the movie "Django"?? Because I did, and I'm here to tell you that the racism in the movie is equal on both sides of the equation. I mean, the main character expresses that he enjoys killing white people and getting paid to do it. I've heard some folks be offended by that line in the movie, also, but I keep wondering if they saw the same movie that I did. Because it's the VIOLENCE in the movie that is over the top. It's sad, too, because the movie starts out hinting that it's an old-style Western, and we all know that a Western has to have 6-guns and fist-fights. But I guess no one told the director about the unwritten rules about Western films. In conclusion, I didn't hate the movie, but I also do not recommend it. And if you do go and you hear folks in the theater actually LAUGHING at the inappropriate things, you should probably pray for them.

In other news, I didn't make it to Rowlett. The roads got icy, and I even missed a day of work. I had to tell our L.A. clients that we were a day behind because of a snow day, and I'm sure they understood - NOT! I wonder sometimes what it feels like to be caught up on work stuff. I vaguely remember a time...

So the end of 2012 quickly approaches, and I won't miss it. I know I'll miss the people (and Snuffy the cat) that we lost this year. I'll miss living with my folks, but I'm slowly getting used to the quiet. Resolutions? I'd like to leave the office at quittin' time more often - no more putting in so many extra hours. I'd like to ride my bicycle more. And then there's that 70 lbs that I should prolly lose. If I want to live.
