The truth is...
I think it's my turn to weigh in on the WTC mosque in NYC. Can you guess my position? No, I don't think they should put it there. No, I don't think the law can stop it. Oh, technically the local law, the NYC zoning board, should be able to say "no" to it if they want. But even if they wanted to, they couldn't because there would then be a lawsuit, and the supreme court would overturn it and let 'em build. Is that the right thing? I dunno about that, but I do know that it's the American way. That's what I think. But how do I feel about it? Well, of course I feel that the muslims are being stupid. Worldly smart, yes, legally smart, of course, but I think this shows that we know and worship completely different gods. But it's not just the mosque. I suppose you've heard that the mosque-supporting imam is traveling the world to preach Islam on taxpayer dollars? Our country has been a great experiment, but I just don't see how it can last. The debt, the selfishness, the self-righteousness, the apathy...but mostly I just don't care ;)
