Sometimes I get jealous of convenience store workers. I see travelers coming through town and fueling up, and it makes the world look a little bigger. It makes me want to ask them where they're going and where they've been. People who are traveling usually have hope that the place that they're going to is better than the place where they've been. Isn't that why we keep moving? Hope? Anyway, convenience store workers get to watch these people come and go all day. Then again, I suppose it wouldn't look as good from behind the cashier's desk. They prolly see people coming and going while they're stuck right where they are. Pushing buttons. I push a lotta buttons.

Such a thinking young lady! P.S. Someone wrote those exact same words to me once, in my school yearbook. Heh!
