Yup. It's not so good. Dry dry dry. Mom's taking today off just to fix someone else's fence so that we can stick the horses in there for awhile so they can get some grazing. There's no hay to buy unless you pay triple or more to have it hauled in from Kansas or beyond. Grandpa has already sold some cattle, and he has two more loads planned in the next few weeks. We're still in water use restrictions, burn bans, the ponds are going dry, etc. etc. Whine whine whine. I'm not really a farmer, so it doesn't hurt me too much, but people are worried. People are GIVING horses away. I mean, they have been doing that for years now, especially since they passed that stupid law to close down the knackers in the U.S. and the prices of horses went way down, but now they're picking abandoned horses up off the side of the road. People just can't feed 'em anymore, so they swing wide the pasture gate and tell 'em "hasta later." Prayers? We're getting weary of it here. Perhaps you'll mention us in yours.
